Family Fun & Craft Beer: Exploring Texas Hill Country Breweries

We are a small family living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, where we’ve discovered a shared love for exploring the local craft brewery scene. With its vibrant array of breweries, scenic views, and community-driven atmosphere, the Texas Hill Country offers something truly special for all beer enthusiasts (even if you just like beer). On this page you will find blog posts reviewing numerous craft breweries, in the future we will write up routes to take to get to several breweries within an area.

The Texas Hill Country Beer scene is very diverse, from simpler (not bad) beers to unique world renowned breweries within their category. There are a few hotspots for breweries, the main one is Fitzhugh Road in Dripping Springs, there are numerous breweries on this stretch of road, including world renowned Jester King known for their Sours.
Fredericksburg is another area with a significant beer scene, a long with Wimberley/Dripping springs.

However, as a family, we noticed there wasn’t a website that catered specifically to people like us—families who enjoy the craft brewery experience in the Texas Hill Country but also want to ensure their kids are having a good time. That’s why we created Hillcountrybeers.com, a site dedicated to showcasing the best of the Texas Hill Country’s craft breweries with a family-friendly twist.

What makes our site unique is our focus on including every member of the family in the experience, this includes kids, grand parents, dogs, and of course parents (if you don't have kids you can still get inspiration from our Texas Hill Country craft brewery reviews.

At the bottom of each post, you’ll find a “Kids Review” section, written by our 11-year-old daughter. She loves visiting craft breweries in the Texas Hill Country, especially those with playgrounds or kid-friendly events like Friday night movie nights. For her, it’s not about going to a craft brewery; it’s about spending quality time with us, her parents, while doing something that we can all enjoy together. We hope that by sharing our experiences with the Texas Hill Country craft brewing scene, we can help other families discover new favorite spots where both parents and kids can have a great time. Whether you’re a craft beer lover or just looking for a fun family outing, Hillcountrybeers.com is here to guide you through the best that the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
